SIM800L GPRS GSM Module with Helical Antenna
Add powerful cellular connectivity to your electronics projects with the ultra-compact SIM800L GPRS GSM Module. This tiny yet powerful module allows your Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or other microcontroller to connect to the 2G mobile network. This opens up a world of possibilities for Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
With the SIM800L, your project can send and receive SMS text messages, make and receive phone calls, and connect to the internet using GPRS data. It’s the perfect solution for creating remote sensors, asset trackers, SMS alert systems, or any device that needs to communicate from anywhere with a cellular signal.
The module communicates with a microcontroller via a simple UART serial interface using standard AT commands. This breakout board includes the SIM800L module, a Micro SIM card slot, and all the necessary supporting components. A compact helical spring antenna is included for excellent reception.
Important Note: This module requires a stable power supply of 3.7V to 4.2V, like a single-cell LiPo battery. Do not power it directly from the 5V pin of an Arduino, as this can cause permanent damage.
