U-blox NEO-7M GPS Module with SMA Antenna Port
Upgrade your tracking projects with the next-generation U-blox NEO-7M GPS Module. As the successor to the popular NEO-6M, this module offers enhanced performance, faster satellite acquisition, and the ability to track multiple satellite constellations (GNSS) simultaneously for improved accuracy and reliability.
The NEO-7M is built on the high-performance U-blox 7 positioning engine. Its key advantage is the ability to receive signals from both GPS (USA) and GLONASS (Russia) satellites, increasing the number of visible satellites and improving position accuracy, especially in challenging urban environments.
This versatile breakout board is designed for both hobbyists and professionals. It features a standard UART serial interface for connecting to microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, as well as a Micro USB port for direct connection to a PC. The robust SMA connector allows you to attach a high-gain external active antenna for the best possible signal reception.
Key Features:
- Chipset: U-blox NEO-7M
- Multi-GNSS Support: Concurrently receives GPS/QZSS and GLONASS signals
- Superior Performance: Higher sensitivity and faster Time-To-First-Fix (TTFF) than NEO-6M
- Interface: UART TTL Serial & Micro USB port
- Power Supply: 3.3V to 5V compatible
- Antenna Connector: Robust SMA female connector for external active antenna (antenna not included)
- Backup: Onboard battery for RTC and fast satellite fix
Applications:
The NEO-7M is the perfect choice for high-performance location-aware applications, including advanced drone/UAV navigation, automotive tracking systems, high-accuracy data logging, and scientific research projects where position reliability is critical.
